1. Safety and soft skills: General precautions, stores procedures, introduction to first aid, operation of electrical mains, introduction to PPEs, introduction to 5S concept and applications. Response to emergencies like power fa
ilure, system failure, fire.
2. Marking and Measuring tools: Steel rule, try square, callipers (i.e. vernier, inside, outside, odd leg callipers), Micrometers, Bevel protractor, gauges like vernier height and depth gauges, slip gauges, sine bar to measure angl
es and tapers, V-block, Punches, straight edge, scribing block and surface plate.
3. Hand tools: Hammers, chisels, files, hack saw, taps and dies, reamers, clamps, bench vices.
